Entrepreneurial Mindset for PhDs & Postdocs

The Emerson Collective Venture team invites you to learn more about the Emerson Consequential Scholars program (ECS.) ECS is for pioneering PhDs seeking to build consequential companies, organizations, and labs. ECS, coming to MIT in January 2026 after successfully launching at Stanford, helps academics cultivate knowledge, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a strategic network to leverage their research in order to address real-world problems.

Scholars will learn directly from entrepreneurs and former academics who have built and scaled their own enterprises, explore innovation hubs in Greater Boston and Silicon Valley, and sharpen their storytelling through a powerful, stand-and-deliver pitch experience. ECS is a launchpad for PhDs ready to build the future.
